Congratulations to Gallery Wendi Norris artist María Magdalena Campos-Pons on receiving the esteemed MacArthur Genius Award. Campos-Pons joins fellow artists Raven Chacon, Carolyn Lazard, and Dyani White Hawk, among sixteen others as 2023 award recipients.

The MacArthur Genius Award is a $800,000, no-strings-attached award to extraordinarily talented and creative individuals as an investment in their potential. The program is intended to encourage people of outstanding talent to pursue their own creative, intellectual, and professional inclinations. In keeping with this purpose, the Foundation awards fellowships directly to individuals rather than through institutions.
