Gallery Wendi Norris is pleased to present new works by María Magdalena Campos-Pons and Chitra Ganesh on 4x8-bridges - an expansion of the 8-bridges gallery platform - now live online here. 

Campos-Pons’ Descending Angels are the newest works in her ongoing series, Un Pedazo del Mar (A Piece of the Sea). The works explore notions of transformation and spirituality, as well as the dualities of life and death, sea and sky, bodies and territories.

Ganesh’s double-sided mixed media paintings reveal intimate studio moments evoking hope and despair, triumph and exasperation. Each work incorporates free-form poetry with fantastical imagery and collage, melding text and image like roving maps of the mind.

ABOUT 4x8-BRIDGES

In the tradition of San Francisco’s celebration of the visual arts in January, 4x8-bridges is an expansion of the 8-bridges gallery platform to include thirty-six Northern California art galleries, each showing four carefully selected works, as well as a series of talks, webinars, and Zoom walk-throughs.

Eight bridges connect the San Francisco Bay, so it is an apt name for a gallery platform that brings the Bay Area art world together. 8-bridges’ mission is to maintain a vibrant art scene, despite restrictions on travel and larger gatherings. We invite you along with our many great colleagues to come together this week, January 25-31, in support of our arts community.
